We share our vision on the current challenges of digitisation.

IED has collaborated and participated in the 𝘽𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙁𝙤𝙧𝙪𝙢 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟯, organized by #FIN, which brings together the entire business network of our community to exchange and share experiences, visions, and challenges.

With the value of shared knowledge as the central topic of this edition, we had the opportunity to give our vision on one of the great current challenges for companies, #digitalization: our CEO, Iñigo Ayerra, accompanied by Daniel Antoñanzas from #Exkal, Javier Aranguren from #Meler and Miguel Ángel Grijalba from Volkswagen, shared IED’s progress in this regard:

1⃣ Although we are all very familiar with the term, I think it is still not well integrated into the strategy of companies.
2⃣ At IED we see two layers of digitalization:
🅰 The process layer (ERP, data entry, integration with suppliers and customers, traceability…), where the level of development is high.
🅱 The product layer. We, who manufacture innovative products based on electronics, aspire to advance in our product scope with the remote processing of product life data.
3⃣ Integration with the customer makes more and more sense at the software level than at the hardware level.
4⃣ There is a great opportunity to be a player in the markets through edge computing and the Internet of Things.
5⃣ Cybersecurity and the management of data ownership are two of the main areas in which progress must be made.
